Some of these days are so oppressive in the heat that you may not even want to go outside. You don’t need to keep the kids inside the air conditioning to stay cool though — just head out to a nearby recreation center for some splashing fun!
On Friday, July 5th, fresh off celebrating Independence Day, families headed over to Ferko Playground to enjoy the day in their Sprayground. Besides Ferko, there are many other Recreation Center spots to cool down in Spraygrounds and Pools Here are just a few: (Photos all from Ferko Sprayground)
FERKO PLAYGROUND

The Sprayground at Ferko Playground, 1101 E. Cayuga Street, is reserved for Summer Camp time on Mondays through Fridays from 11:00 to 12:00. Public Hours are 12:15 to 7:00 pm.
Saturday and Sunday hours for the public are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
PICCOLI PLAYGROUND
SPRAYGROUND
The Sprayground at Piccoli Playground, 1501 E. Bristol Street, is open to the public on Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
PICCOLI PLAYGROUND POOL
Piccoli Playground Pool is reserved for Summer Camp on Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Free Swim is available from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. (Children under 45 inches must be accompanied by an adult! 2 children to 1 adult.)
Swim Lessons are held from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You can register in the office or at the pool deck. Lessons are Free!
Family Swim is 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
Adult Swim is 6:00 – 7:00 PM.
Saturday and Sunday offers Family Swim from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

11:00 am: Swim Lessons
12:00 pm: Camp Swim
1:00-4:00: Free Swim
4:00-5:00: Swim Team
5:00-6:00: Family Swim
6:00-7:00: Family Swim on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
6:00-7:00: Adult Swim on Tuesday and Thursday.
Saturdays and Sundays include Free Swim from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and Family Swim from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
