National Night Out Event Announced for 24th District

Did you miss out on the 24th District’s Community Day this past June? If so, you don’t want to miss out on the District’s National Night Out celebration!

Community Relations Officer Tina Willis announced that the 24th Police District will hold their annual National Night Out event outside of Home Depot, 2539 Castor Avenue, on Tuesday evening, August 6, 2019.

Councilman Bobby Henon, who sponsored a paper shredding event at Community Day, is pictured with Maryann Trombetta, member of the 24th PDAC.

Community Day included a free paper shredding event, along with Vehicle Identification Number etchings for vehicles, promoting theft protection.

National Night Out will include fun for the entire family, along with great information on crime prevention for your home, vehicles, and neighborhood.

The 24th District’s community events are always a big hit, as the Mounted Patrol, Marine Unit, Highway Patrol, S.W.A.T., and K-9 Unit impress kids and adults alike.

Oak Street Health was one of the great vendors at Community Day.
